Part Time Electronics Tech Maint.
DS2 is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Electronics Tech Maintenance. This is a part time position.
Job Description:
Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as IT equipment including personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation. Evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidate must possess a high school diploma. Candidate must possess a security clearance level of Secret. Candidate must be a graduate of US Navy Electronics Technician Class C school or equivalent.
This position requires candidate to be on call 24/7.
