Logistic Analyst Job Description:

The Logistic Analyst IV may examine complex logistic systems from an overall performance perspective. They apply logistic/supply analysis techniques and disciplines to plan, design, and prepare sound solutions to logistic requirements. They prepare documentation of designed solutions. They evaluate, recommend improvements, and identify required resources and provide assistance in implementing changes.
Acquired skills may include computer modeling and simulation, data collection, and statistical analysis, evaluation of strategies and tactics under risk scenarios, test planning and conduct follow-up evaluation of applied plans. Senior level analysts may direct the work of more junior level analysts.
This full-time professional position requires regular, predictable attendance. Individual must be able to pass a physical examination as determined by the company, based on the essential job functions; must conduct all business in accordance with Company Affirmative Action goals; conduct all activities and make determinations based on sound, ethical business practices and standards as established by the corporation and various regulatory agencies; must immediately disclose any real or suspected ethical improprieties to management.

Essential Job Functions

The Logistic Analyst IV reports directly to the Project Manager, FLRC-Fort Polk, LA; provides principal liaison and primary daily interface with Government Project Officer and Quality Assurance Representative(s); participates with the Government Project Officer and the Project Manager in strategic and long range logistics/support planning; coordinates resources and control programs that support site operations; communicates and coordinates among field site, customer, program, and supporting staffs; identifies potential problems and initiates corrective actions for their resolution; prepares and presents information briefings; performs studies, investigations, and analysis as requested by project management, and as required to maintain site operations; attends staff, coordination, and status meetings as requested by project management. Communicates with military customers concerning potential, in-process, and completed work. Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
All work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency.
This position acts as the FLRC Recoverable Item Manager (FRM) and FORSCOM Property Accountability and Recovery Team (PART) Manager at FLRC Fort Polk, LA. Duties include but are not be limited to:
As Recoverables (non-Exchange Pricing (EP) and EP items) and FORSCOM Property Accountability and Recovery Team (PART) Manager:
- Manage recoverable collection and turn-in for the FLRC.
- Track and report on all turn-ins until credits received
- Intensively track EP issues through maintenance cycle
- Initiate and track EP arbitration actions
- Manage the PART team
- Collect excess supplies from FORSCOM units
- Redistribute supplies
- Pack and ship supplies
- Turn-in supplies to Supply Support Activity (SSA) and the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).
- Maintain inventory records and calculate inventory turn-over measurements
- Track cost-avoidance for customer. (Do we have an SOP or business rules for the FORSCOM PART mission?)

Will be responsible to perform the following Expeditor duties
- Maintain a CONUS-wide network of subject matter experts and capabilities to complement the Army supply system when circumstances delay or deny delivery of critical repair parts to support Army unit readiness and FLRC maintenance programs such as Left Behind Equipment (LBE), Pre-Deployment Training
- Equipment (PDTE) and Reset of Army equipment.
- Locate and expedite shipment of parts and facilitate fiscal transactions between the source of parts and the customer.
- Effect supply transactions using a funded DoDAAC, express shipment and the Wildcat Database System (WDS) automated processes to maintain constant visibility of critical supply actions.
- Maintain constant liaison with local logistics leadership and situational awareness of requirements within each expediter's installation and/or region.
- Remote walk through of Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS) Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) transactions using FLRD-funded Department of Defense Automatic Addressing Code (DoDAAC).
- Package and ship items
- Enter transaction data into Wildcat Database System (WDS) so demands are captured at the gaining unit level in the Consolidated Demand Data Base (CDDB) at Logistics Support Agency (LOGSA).
- Prepare billing data for collection of funds from gaining unit's Resource Management (RM) office.
- Track accounts receivable until paid.
- Adhere to FLRD business rules for supply redistribution as published and amended from time to time.

Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor Degree and minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in Army logistics or High School Diploma and 7 years of directly related experience in Army logistics related operations. (Must be able to provide proof of working in the logistical field.)
- Minimum of 2 years Supply/Logistics experience to include Wildcat Management Maintenance System (WMMS), Unit Level Logistics System - Ground (ULLS-G), Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS) and/or Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS) experience. Must provide a copy of DD-214 or equivalent civilian certification.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years computer experience with Microsoft Office components.
- Must possess highly competent verbal and interpersonal skills, proficient written communication skills, and multi-task organizational skills.
- Must able to obtain a military driver's license.
- Must be able to travel as necessary.
