Alarm Technician
An Installer / Service Technician will install or dismantle appropriate devices OR troubleshoot and repair existing equipment for residential, small business or commercial customers. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding their security system. As an advisor to the customer, you will have the ability to solve problems, consult on system capabilities and ensure a great customer experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, dismantle or reconstruct required equipment; OR locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
2. Install OR readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation.
3. Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment install OR repairs.
4. Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
5. Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
6. Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
Skills: - High School diploma or GED required
- Some technical training / experience - Low Voltage License/Electrical Required
- Experience installing / inspecting / repairing ADT or comparable product line - preferred
- Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings ¿ preferred
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
- Valid Driver¿s License with clean driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
